Testimonials
Jessica, Youth Athlete
I am 17 years old, I have recently received a scholarship offer to a university in the US and I have been training with Ryan since I was 8 years old. Over time, my training program has changed to reflect my growth development. When I started training I used more of my body weight, but, as I have grown, weights have also been incorporated into my training. Since training with Ryan, I have been able to avoid getting injured when playing soccer. Many girls my age are constantly getting injured because of improper training. Before the session, he conferences with me to find out what physical activity I have been involved in and if there are any areas of concern for me in terms of tightness, pain or discomfort. He is always offering me exercises I can continue to do on my own to avoid injury. Training with Ryan has helped improve my muscle strength, speed, agility as well as boost my endurance and my overall confidence.
Julian Altobelli, Pro Athlete
I am a professional soccer player for Toronto FCII. Before signing my first professional contract I spent my youth career at the Toronto FC Academy for 8 years and also got to represent Team Canada at the U17 World Cup, during those years I never went to see a personal trainer and mostly did stuff on my own for my off season but once I signed my first pro deal I had to see someone who was well recommended and someone who was willing to work hard on me and get the best out of me during the off season, that guy was Ryan. He is a very outgoing and hard working guy who loves to do what he does. These past few years I have been working with Ryan and I can tell you that he pushed me to be the best I can be and honestly this is probably the best my body has ever felt. He has helped me dramatically with my speed, strength, agility and much more. I can tell you that I will continue to see Ryan during my off seasons and he is definitely someone who I will recommend to other athletes. Everything that I had done with Ryan I have now transferred onto the field and if I were to compare my physical stats to my last year with the academy to my first year as a professional, almost everything in every category has gotten better and I give credit to Ryan for pushing me and giving the right workouts to do that help specifically with what I wanted to focus on. Overall,Ryan is a great person whether it is just someone to talk to about life or anything on your mind. I am grateful for the work he has done with me and this is just the beginning.
Mary, Working Mom of Two
I had never worked out, and then I started to really enjoy group classes. The problem with jumping into the group classes was that I was not doing the exercises properly so I was prone to injury. Ryan came highly recommended and, today, I understand why. After being with Ryan for 3 years, he helped me to not only learn how to do exercises correctly to avoid injury, but he helped me strengthen my back to improve my posture. My back has forever been weak to the point that I would be hunched over most of the day. The training routine he put together for me was designed to help improve and strengthen my posture. Ryan’s training is unique in that he offers one to one support, corrects along the way and challenges you too all the time tempering his feedback in an encouraging manner. He is always giving suggestions as to how to make a particular exercise more challenging and how to get the most out of it. He also has a great sense of humour and offers comic relief during the sessions. Ryan is not a stickler for time. If your routine is not done, then he stays with you until the end. Other trainers make it very clear that the session is 1 hour long, and even though you are not done, they are. Ryan, unlike many other trainers, is extremely flexible. Ryan understands the hustle and bustle that goes on when having two children in competitive soccer so he is extremely accommodating at readjusting his schedule to meet my family needs. He does this for all his clients. I recommend Ryan as a personal trainer to anyone of any age since he personalizes his client’s programs to meet their individual goals. His program is not a one for all program.
